I was getting married and needed a job in the good old USA. So, I went on an interview with what was considered a VERY traditional company. I was used to being very casual but was told to pull my long hair into a bun, put on a very tailored blue suit with a white shirt and hose. Well, the day of the interview, I decided I had to be true to myself. So, I wore a v-neck off-white winter dress with a blue velvet jacket and my hair flowing (and, no hose) They had interviewed 30 people before me, but I was hired. I retired, after 31 years, from said company, and they ALWAYS let me be myself. I now work with them with their new hires, coaching and beratung them.
